Thanks Domino Magazine!
DominoMag.com recently listed Fashion Ethic as one of their favorite Green Clothing stores, and we couldn't be happier!
Fact is, we credit Domino's first Green Issue as one of the driving forces that first got Candice thinking about how to create a more perfect conscious-shopping experience. And now here we are, one year later, about to launch and already included on Domino's online resource list for all things Green and Fashionable!
Check out all the great green tips from Domino staffers. It's the small changes that make a difference, and from what see here, we can tell that Domino staffers are certainly Fashionably Responsible!

We've Seen the Future...FALL 2008 Report
We're back from Market - shopping for Fall 2008 - and happy to report that the sustainable and ethical fashion options for next-next season are GORgeous!
Lots of color, intricate details, and pieces that can be worn in different ways...reversible, flipped around, or with detachable accents. With pieces like these, you'll be able to buy less and do more with your wardrobe than ever before!
But for now, let's concentrate on the Spring to come...it's arrived here at Fashion Ethic this week, just as the weather starts to turn sunny (for a brief moment anyway). Check out the new offerings from Peligrosa, Ryann, and Lizzie Parker now and be the first to sport these sustainable spring styles.
Photographed at right: Dress from EDUN's Fall '08 line, as presented in NYC this week. And yes, you can expect it here at Fashion Ethic come September.

Carnegie Hall Fashion - Re!nvented
One of our favorite eco-chic designers, Ms. Nina Valenti of naturevsfuture, recently teamed up with TerraCycle to design a stunning concert gown made of...trash.
The dress was created of over 6,000 used and misprinted drink pouches and will make its public debut as world-renowned concert pianist Soyeon Lee makes her debut at Carnegie Hall February 19.
The evening's theme is "Re!nvented," featuring musical pieces that have been reused in some way, which inspired the pianist to wear a gown that would reinforce this theme.
TerraCycle; known for bottling their fertilizer in reused pop bottles; is now accepting used drink pouches like those used in Nina's dress, in an effort to help divert the four billion non-recycleable pouches that otherwise go to landfills in America each year.
Check out Nina's more day-to-day creations at Fashion Ethic - the recycled fleece dress or jacket, organic wool tunic, or the contrast sweaterjacket - all are work appropriate...if your job doesn't happen to demand an appearance at Carnegie Hall ;)

My Ethic Valentine
It's that time of year when many stores start pushing plush toys, big boxes of 'chocolate', and synthetic, heart-decorated undies as the answer to what your lovely is wishing for this Valentine's Day.
But if it's the thought that counts, we're not sure we like what these items tell us! May we recommend some gifts that take your Valentine's well-being into account...without sacrificing style, of course!
Guys and Girls: The SIGG water bottle is Swiss-made, a lightweight aluminum with fully tested food-safe liner. By now we've all heard that a measly 30% of plastic water and pop bottles are recycled, but have you heard about the nasty pthalates - chemicals used to make plastics 'bendy' - that leach into your water and disrupt your (and your lovie's) endocrine system? Some in the scientific community are blaming these nasties for rising infertility rates and obesity rates among humans - adults AND kids. We say time and again how we are all for those life-changing products, and SIGG has been one around here! Show your honey you care with a fab bottle from Fashion Ethic.
For the Guys: And speaking of leaching...much of what you put on your skin is absorbed into your body. So why buy a perfume with synthetic, possibly damaging ingredients? Tsi-La is not only all natural and organic, but has created a set of 4 mini roll-on scents so your Valentine can mix and match scents and you won't need to worry about picking just one to suit her! If she's not into scent, pamper her with a 100% cashmere sweater in shocking pink from Peligrosa Knits. It's hand-dyed with natural coloring, and it's on sale...what could be finer?
