Seattle Green Festival this Weekend

Headed out to the Seattle Green Festival this weekend? Make sure you stop by the SPUN booth and meet designer Sara Seumae (booth 927), and say hello to the lovely Lynnel at Bien Ella, booth 1009! Don't forget to tell them that Fashion Ethic sent you, and keep an eye out for Fashion Ethic founder Candice Caldwell there on Sunday.

Seattle Green Festival runs this Saturday-Sunday at the Seattle Convention Center. For more information, or to find a Green Festival near you, check out the Green Festivals homepage.

The First Lady Gets "Fashionably Responsible" in the Garden

We love that the First Lady joined White House chefs and kids from a local elementary school today as ground was broken on the first White House Kitchen Garden on the South Lawn.

This project will provide fresh grown, organic produce and herbs for the White House Kitchen as well as donations to Miriam's Kitchen, a local DC soup kitchen.

And we can't help but mention how fabulous Mrs. Obama looked with her belted cowl sweaterdress, tights, and slick boots. Talk about being "Fashionably Responsible"...the First Lady set just the right tone as she broke ground and talked up the health benefits of fresh produce (not to mention eating local!)

Check out the SPUN Cowl Neck Dress in the Shop at Fashion Ethic for a similar style in organic cotton for just $68.
