Daily Candy DC shines the spotlight on Raina Blyer and her line, Ryann Apparel today.

We are long-time fans of her classy but spunky eco-friendly and sustainably made line, that produces some of the best cut trousers around, eco or not (thankfully hers ARE - in hemp canvas or ahmisa "vegan" silk). This season Ryann brings us the Hal pant and the Renew dress, lending a slightly futuristic vision to eco chic.

Versatility Embodied: Ryann Pleated Tunic Featured on Sprig.com

It's been one of our favorite pieces this season: the pleated dress from Ryann, which can also double as a top when tucked into high-waisted pants or bermudas. (Talk about packing light! It's versatility makes it the perfect companion for any trip, anywhere.)

Now online eco-mag Sprig (another one of our favorite things) has given us new reasons to love the dress/tunic/top so much. Earth Day with Ryann in NYC

This just in from our friends over at Ryann Apparel - a few events to check out if you happen to find yourself in NYC this month...

On April 22nd Ryann celebrates Earth Day at Clay from 5-9pm (25 W. 14th street) with a trunk show featuring the Spring line and Ryann's luxuriously soft line of basics. Attendees will receive a free week pass to Clay, beauty samples from Sonya Dakar, healthy snacks from Natural Nectars and home care products from Lark. (And you thought you wouldn't be getting anything on Earth Day)

Next month, Saturday May 3rd, Ryann will be participating in a fashion show fundraiser for Lyndhurst Historical Preservation. There will be green products to sample, live music and more.
